PUMCHيتمتع قسم أمراض الدم بتاريخ طويل، حيث يعد رائدًا في علم أمراض الدم الحديث في الصين، وأحد أولى القواعد لتدريب المتخصصين في هذا المجال. في عام 1932، أنشأ قسم الطب الداخلي في كلية بكين للطب أول مختبر متخصص في علم أمراض الدم في الصين، وفي عام 1934 تم تشكيل مجموعة متخصصة في أمراض الدم. تم تأسيس قسم أمراض الدم كجزء من قسم الطب الداخلي الكبير في عام 1980. وفي عام 1981، تم اعتماده كقاعدة لتدريب طلاب الدكتوراه من قبل وزارة التعليم. وفي عام 1990، تم التعرف عليه كنقطة رئيسية في علم أمراض الدم من قبل وزارة التعليم الوطنية (بالتعاون مع معهد أبحاث أمراض الدم في الأكاديمية الطبية). وفي عام 1992، أصبح مركزًا لتدريب ما بعد الدكتوراه. وفي عام 2006، تم اعتماده كأحد أول مراكز تدريب الأطباء المتخصصين في أمراض الدم من قبل وزارة الصحة وبلدية بكين. وفي عام 2011، تم اعتماده كأحد أول التخصصات السريرية الرئيسية من قبل وزارة الصحة.

يحتل القسم مكانة مرموقة في قائمة سمعة تخصصات أمراض الدم على مستوى البلاد. لدينا أكبر مجموعة دراسات حالات فردية في العالم لمتلازمة POEMS وأمراض الخلايا البلازمية مثل الورم النقوي المتعدد، كما أننا في طليعة العلاج الدقيق لسرطان الغدد اللمفاوية، وسرطان الدم، وزراعة الخلايا الجذعية، وعلاج اضطرابات التخثر.
نقوم بدمج علم الأنسجة النخاعية، وتصنيف الخلايا المناعية بواسطة التدفق الخلوي، وعلم الوراثة الخلوية، والتسلسل الجيني من الجيل الثاني (MICM) لتقديم علاج مستهدف فردي وزراعة خلايا جذعية.
