PUMCHيعتبر قسم أمراض الجهاز الهضمي من أقدم التخصصات في المستشفى، وقد تم تأسيسه تحت قيادة البروفيسور تشانغ شياو تشيان، أحد رواد الطب الحديث في الصين، والبروفيسور تشين مين زانغ، خبير الأمراض الهضمية الشهير. بعد جهود مضنية من عدة أجيال، تطور قسم أمراض الجهاز الهضمي ليصبح تخصصًا رئيسيًا له تأثير كبير على الصعيدين المحلي والدولي. يتمتع القسم بتخصصات فرعية شاملة، وموارد بشرية متميزة، وقوة تقنية سريرية ومخبرية قوية، مما يجعله مركزًا عالي المستوى لأمراض الجهاز الهضمي، والتنظير، وعلاج الحالات المعقدة.
