PUMCHتأسس قسم الأمراض الجلدية في المستشفى عام 1924، وهو واحد من أقدم تخصصات الأمراض الجلدية والتناسلية في الصين. كان أول مدير له الدكتور تشيستر ن. فريزر. بعد التحرير، تولى البروفيسور لي هونغ تشيونغ، أحد مؤسسي علم الأمراض الجلدية والتناسلية في الصين، إدارة القسم. بفضل جهود عدة أجيال، قدم قسم الأمراض الجلدية في مستشفى الاتحاد مساهمات بارزة في تطوير علم الأمراض الجلدية والتناسلية في الصين.
