حالة القسم الحالية: بعد التوسع في التسعينيات وتجديد المعدات على مر السنين، بالإضافة إلى دمج المستشفيين الشرقي والغربي، استمر قسم طب الأسنان في النمو والتطور. مع تقدم التخصص، تم تحسين إعداد المجموعات المهنية، حيث تم إنشاء مجموعات متخصصة في جراحة الفم، وأمراض الأسنان وجذور الأسنان، وأمراض دواعم الأسنان، وأمراض الغشاء المخاطي الفموي، وأمراض الأسنان لدى الأطفال، والترميم السني، وتقويم الأسنان، بالإضافة إلى مركز زراعة الأسنان ومركز علاج الأسنان بدون ألم. أصبح قسم طب الأسنان الآن قسمًا كبيرًا يضم حوالي 51 وحدة علاجية شاملة، و12 سريرًا، و76 موظفًا طبيًا (بما في ذلك 48 طبيبًا، و19 ممرضًا، و9 فنيين). يوجد حاليًا مشرف دكتوراه واحد، وخمسة مشرفين ماجستير. تتجه مجموعة الكوادر في التخصص نحو التوازن، حيث يوجد 6 أساتذة وأطباء رئيسيين، و11 أستاذ مساعد وطبيب مساعد، و24 طبيبًا مختصًا، و7 أطباء مقيمين.
