PUMCH当院の血管外科は、中国で最も早く血管外科の業務を開始した施設の一つであり、現在では国内で最も著名な血管外科疾患の疑難重症診療センターです。基本外科と同様に教育部臨床重点学科、国家衛生健康委員会臨床重点学科に指定されており、国家レベルおよび北京市の血管外科継続教育基地および住院医師研修基地、血管腔内治療技術研修基地としても機能しています。
当院の血管外科は、国際的に著名で国内で先進的な血管疾患診療センターです。1950年代には、曾宪九、朱予などの著名な外科専門家の指導の下、主动脉瘤など多くの血管疾患の外科治療が行われ、血管疾患外科診療の基礎が築かれました。1980年代初頭、外科主任の曾宪九教授の提唱により、当院の基本外科血管外科専門グループが正式に設立され、著名な血管外科専門家で中国科学院院士の汪忠镐教授がその業務を担当し、布加氏症候群や動脈瘤などの疑難重症治療において大きな成果を上げました。
1985年、著名な血管外科専門家である管珩教授が血管外科専門グループの業務を引き継ぎました。2002年9月、当院と元郵電総医院の合併に伴い、正式に血管外科センターが設立され、独立した臨床三級学科となりました。管珩教授が初代血管外科主任、首席専門家および学科リーダーを務め、血管外科の発展に良好な基盤を築きました。
2005年、著名な血管外科専門家である刘昌伟教授が協和医院血管外科主任に就任し、協和血管外科の第二代科主任、首席専門家および学科リーダーとなりました。彼は中华医学会外科学分会血管外科学組の副組長も務め、協和血管外科チームをますます発展させ、学術的リーダーシップと技術革新を推進し、連年優れた成果を上げ、国内の血管外科分野で最も影響力のある学科チームの一つとなっています。

当科では、胸腹主动脉全腔内修復（TEVAR/EVAR）、ハイブリッド手術、頸動脈内膜剥脱術（CEA）、頸動脈ステント留置術（CAS）を定期的に行い、個別化された微創および開放血管再建を提供しています。
