PUMCH当院の整形外科は1952年に設立され、中国整形外科の創始者の一人である宋儒耀教授が主任を務めました。1957年に整形外科は協和病院から独立し、拡張、移転、解散を経て、60年代末に再び整形外科が復活し、引き続き宋儒耀教授が指導しました。1979年には再度協和病院から独立し、整形外科病院として拡張されました。国際基準に合わせ、総合的な実力を向上させ、世界クラスの総合病院を創設するため、2003年に整形外科が再び復活しました。
現在、当科は中国医学会整形外科分会常務委員会および中国リハビリテーション医学会修復再建外科分会常務委員会の所在機関であり、国家整形外科重点専門科に指定されています。王晓军教授をはじめとする著名な専門家の指導の下、宋儒耀教授などの先人たちの優れた伝統を継承し、微創整形、乳房再建、複雑創面修復など国内トップクラスの技術的特長を形成しています。
当院の整形外科は1952年の設立以来、持続的に発展を遂げ、技術的に先進的で、学科が充実し、医療、教育、研究を一体化した整形センターを形成しています。豊富な人材、設備、多学科の協力の利点を有し、国内外の整形美容外科学界と広範な密接な関係と協力を持っています。中国協和医科大学整形外科学の修士、博士学位授与点であり、現在7名の博士、修士研究生指導教員、医学博士17名、修士2名、博士、修士研究生が10名以上在籍しています。
